About
Dmitry Smirnov, known as Nexxus 604, is an electronic music producer and DJ based in Los Angeles, working across trance, psytrance and progressive. Raised in a family of doctors with a musical lineage, he graduated from music school in the accordion class — and found his true calling in 2006 at his first trance open-air. What followed were years of DJing, organizing events and performing alongside renowned artists.
Between 2009 and 2021 Dmitry spent over a year and a half in India, exploring spiritual practices and traveling. The number 604 in his alias is a tribute to Goa — the birthplace of psychedelic trance and a place of deep personal meaning.
In 2022 he took a leap of faith, leaving everything behind and moving to America to dedicate his life to music. Since then: debut single AUM (2023), EPs Universal Language and Free Your Consciousness, the album-film The Sound of the Universe (2024), an official remix for Alexander Popov, performances at Burning Man 2025 and PsyTribe's Freakshow Halloween — and in February 2026 the first full-length album Wonder and High on his own label Xenex Records.
